Since I was about 3, I have always been obsessed with drawing horses (well, and lions but that’s another story). Forget the TV, all I wanted to do was draw horses and play with various horse toys I collected over the years. This never really left me as you’ll see below.

I’m not quite sure what it is, perhaps it’s their power, their freedom, their magnificent beauty, or the fact that horses are so emotionally intelligent they really can understand how we feel. Maybe it was my love for Spirit as a child (Phil Collin’s soundtrack still brings a tear to my eye today), but whatever it is, I love drawing and painting horses, and capturing that striking emotional understanding between horse and human.
